Typically a warrant for your arrest is issued after you have failed to do something you were obligated to do. This can be as serious as never going to court after being arrested to as simple as failing to provide proof that you completed a portion of your probation. How do you resolve this problem? Simple, someone (either you or an attorney that you hire) needs to go to court and speak with the judge about what happened and why. In all but the most egregious situations an experienced attorney should be able to have the warrant for your arrest recalled and obtain more time for you to complete what you need to complete or proceed ahead with the case.
You should note, however, that if you have a FELONY warrant for you arrest you must appear in court and as such I would recommend that you hire an attorney before you attempt to resolve this matter on your own.
